Hey i just droped 1 months pay into my new savage! i am getting a sweet radio for it, i decided i should get the best and upgrade my blazer. my friends think i am stupid for droping 500$ on it but they have no idea what it feel like to drive one of these things. on of my friends
said "for 500$ that thing better get in bed with you" lol that is funny

Congratulations on the new purchase, and welcome to RCNT.

While the Savage is a great truck, I seriously doubt that you would get any satisfaction from sleeping with it.

So what other fun stuff did you get with/for the Savage?
 
Welcome to the club. Just wait til you have your first break. Mine seems like yesterday, though most of the hundreds since seem a little hazy.
 
well i had a xxx spec buggy but it dont want to seem to go anymore
like it will run really fast out of the gate but the battery will only last a little while like 2 mins ... i have been looking for a little while for a good bashing place i found a few... and my friend that lives across the street has a t-maxx i hope to beat him

Well the radio looks nice, but have never tried one, but must say I love my JR XS 3 (thanks to Skymaxx :) ) and it seems like the mx-3 has many of the same functions
 
lol that looks like a sweet radio, if i need to upgrade again i will be thinking about getting it. i like how it has a timer on it
 
I have also ordered the new ss savage kit,I sold my T-MAXX and kept the extra traxxas tq3 radio,reciever and servos i had for it and was considering useing them on my new savage?do yall think the steering servo is strong enough for the savage?:cheers:
 
yea i think it will be strong enough ...i am sure it is 80oz or more. but i want to know how to recharge a hump pack. plus does anyone have type to make a kit come together better, I helped my dad build my old xxx spec but i didnt do it all plus he didnt know what he was doing lol...thanks
 
The stock T-Maxx steering servo is weaker than the stock Savage steering servo, but not by much. They should perform about the same.

As for the Savage SS kit, I am chomping at the bit to get my own. My T-Maxx is up for grabs to assist in the funding. I just do not have the heart to see it sitting on the shelf while my two Savages are out running loose.
 
today 7/2 i got my new radio and roto start :yes: . i noticed that hpi changed it form early aug it aug is this bad? i was really hoping for it to come out with week... it is killing me so bad i am thinking about getting the .21 and droping the .26 in it but that would be a waste of time... i hope i get it before i have to go to band camp!!

I am glad i am not the only one that can't wait for it... Does anyone know why hpi changed it from early aug to aug? it is really starting to get my worried. lol i will have all these sweet hop-ups for it before it even gets here... if it dont hurry up soon!
 
Dont you think its better if they take the time to work out all the bugs instead of rushing and overlooking something like...say...making the roto-start fit on the new .25 engine. or maybe forgetting to put instructions in. You know...stuff like that.
 
if you look at the hpi site it now says savage ss late aug and at towerhobbies.com it says early sep... i am sort of mad... i but i hope they make it better and stronger that last time but i am allmost sure that it is done i mean it is the same as the savage .21 but it has a few better hop-ups well this is all i am going to say... and i hope it is worth the wait
 
I'm going from a bone stock .15pro T-MAXX, to a .25 savage ss, I'm sure it will be worth the wait!
