hey guys i just picked up a new savage x and i wana know whats the best mods to do to these i mean from top to bottom in and out i heard the lrp .30 motor is the bad boy to get i also already have the 3 speed trans aswell. I am more use to the tmaxx stuff as of i have 3 of them and i had a saveage xl but i didnt like it for some reason maybe the size of it but i sold it and got the new savage x and ready to mod it

Personally I love the f 4.6 but if I were to go bigger on the engine I would also go with the extended chassis. First thing I got was hpi's bullet proof diffs after snapping teeth off the rear bevel gear right after break in! The only other upgrade i got was hpi's aluminum shock set after bending two of the stock shafts. Other than that the truck is great!

A fail-safe and steering servo would be my first upgrade suggestions.

what about bulk heads already broke the front just get stock ones or aluminum ones

also i did break bothe the bevel gears in front and rear already along with front bulk head and lower brack and lost a front cvd haha

Reduce the stress on the diffs by shimming them correctly. If your still chewing up bevel gears change to a aluminium bulkhead to stop the diffs from moving around.

On the savage diffs are often broken quick due to the weight and the tire size, they normally break when you are braking hard.

i hit a big rock in mid air haha i just ordered reg bulk heads cuz i didnt know what to buy but i will get aluminum ones as soon as i can
