Hello, All As you can tell I'm new to this board. First off the info posted here is first rate, lots of good info (I been in this hobby fo about 5 years). Secondly I Finally got my new Savage today. THIS TRUCK IS A BEAST. I can't wait unit the weather improves so I can break her in (lot's of rain here in Ohio). So intill it does I will be installing a rotostart and reverse module and failsafe.

Any suggestions would be welcome...Thanks

welcome to savage ownership.. I'm over by youngstown area of ohio... found a sweet track down on the river....

Erick, that rotostart thing is a good idea. I currently own a savage I bought last monday and to start it for the first time is a bitch. The engine is very hard to pull for the first time, damn I even have bruises on my joints in my fingers.
Anyways, good luck with your new T Beater.
:hehe:

I would start off by upgrading the airfilter to a Motor Saver air filter LINK , the stock dogbones to THESE and the center bones to REAR and FRONT and also the screw on the shock tower by the fuel tank needs to be turned around. If not it has a good chance of punturing the tank.

For a little more low end I would also get the hot bodies tuned pipe, its a good upgrade for the 21bb and it's only $27at: extremercmotorsports.com
plus for some more high end they sell the ofna 16 tooth clutch bell there too, don't forget to get the shim kit with it.
Have fun with your new beast!

Thanks guys.....I totally agree about the rotostart. A friend of mine has broke many pullstarters on his .21bb. I didn't want to start out breaking pull starters. :radio:

Also what I did was to stiffen up the rear shocks, cause it sags in the rear when driven. I took out the stock shock oil and replace it with 45w oil. The rear sits up more then the front now, and I also got it to wheelie.

hey savage masters, my local hobby shop is trying to sell me the ofna tuned pipe. its chrome and is selling for $72, is that a good deal. is the pipe any good?

If your willing to spend that much money, go with the THS 1 piece or the RD Logics 1 piece. Plus I think on the OFNA pipes the exhuast tip points the oppisite way (like its suppose to be mounted on the "drivers side")
