OK, probably someone smarter than me can explain this to me, because I'm just not getting it (or from the wife either!)

I'm perusing the latest Tower Hobbies catalog, and on page 23 they have the Savage's listed. Reading over the descriptions it lists the Savage 4.6 as having a 4.6 cc (.28 cu.in.) engine. Further down it lists the Savage X as having 4.1 cc (.28 cu. in.) engine.

Now, I have never claimed to be much smarter than a fire hydrant (or Sweetdiesel), but, I don't get how both of these engines can claim to have a .28 ci size when one is 4.6 cc and the other 4.1 cc? Anyone know how this works?

The Savage X 4.1 cc mill is a .25.

I'm not sure of the math in there, but that's what I know.

Well if 2.5cc is .15cu,and 3.0cc is .18,then i would just kinda add up a bit,but being it would be like that,wich would make the 4.1cc engine a .25cu engine,wich's mean's it's a .25, a .28 would roughlly be 4.6cc give or take a tiny bit.So just add .5cu per every .5cc,somebody slap me if I'm wrong

I agree with bustedgears. The Savage X runs a 4.1cc and the mill is a .25. How do I know that....I'm looking right at it. Plus that's what it says on the box, and the paperwork that came with it. Tower Hobbies running a misprint. Go Get em MW

its definitiy a misprint. The X is supposed to just have aggressive porting on the engine. That is all.
