New Savage 5.9 motor ... hard to turn?

I've got a new 5.9 HPI I'm putting on my Savage X and after installing it and getting everything ready I find out the engine is quite difficult to turn over. How can I help loosen this up so I can get it running and broken in?

Any ideas? thanks!

heat it up as much as you can with a hair dryer ...worked great for my 3.3.....make sure you heat the block where the piston is ...not the cooling head

You can loosen the glow plug a bit and then tighten it back up after you get the engine running.

loosening the glow plug only reduces the compression ....warming up the engine will loosen the internals a bit and put less stress on a new engine
