well i finally got the first 4 break in tanks done and started leaning it out and the damn glowplug burnt out, there was a little brake in the coil anout 1.5 loops up in it :( so i put in a diff one and was wondering what glowplugs you all run on this engine so i can get a good one,

also like candyman knows I did my first wheelie and flipped it over instantly and scratched the head :( then it was all over from there ran about 4 tanks after break in and had it ripping, accidently got the temps like 350 for about 20 sec and instantly richened it up and got them back to 240-260 :) but then i remembered i forgot to glue the tires so I am going to get that done before i run again, this thing is SEROUSLY LOUD, compared to the small block in the nMT i can't hear that run when the savage is going it just screams I love it this is the best I hope my friend gets one soon

:fro:

oh one other ? what are some good hump packs cause I was driving and i guess the batteries got bumped around and got just lose enough to cut the power

i use medium mc-59 plugs when its cool out and mc-9 cold plugs when its warm. ebay has a 1100 mah 6v hump pack for $9 shipped.

The MC-59 is a hot plug and it should NOT be used in the .28 Big Block unless it is very cold out. The MC-8 is the McCoy Medium plug. Another good plug is the HPI R4 plug.

I run a 1200MAH pack and can go about 2 hours or more with out having to be charged. It also fit's in the stock receiver box. I don't really see why a 2700MAH pack would be necessary, especially if it don't fit in the receiver box.

i have an 1100mah 5 cell hump pack and it last as long as i want to play or until i break something. if i plan on driving it the next day i plug it in the night before.

if i dont use the mc-59 when it's cool out my truck wont warm up. with a mc-9 i have to leave the glo-starter on it and run it around until it does and when it dies i have to leave it on and warm it up again. i run 240 temps with the mc-59 which is a meduim/hot plug.

I use medium/cold plugs even when it is 40 degrees F out. I preheat the block with a hair dryer (or my car heater) and the motor starts right up and will idle without the glow stick. I personally never had the need to go with a hot plug like the MC-59.

I have a K4.6 engine on its way to me, and I wonder which OS glowplug to use if I'm running 20% nitro... A5 or R5? (OS is the most common brand around here)
