Can anyone recommend a receiver for the Savage. I've just bought the savage second hand but the receiver that's in there ( Sanwa AM SRC-2322RS 27mhz ) isn't the original and it's a bit too big to fit the plastic cover on properly. Does anyone know of a cheap replacement that will fit and isn't going to cost a fortune. Cheers, Rob78

Is the radio the stock radio? Have you tried getting the stock receiver for the Savage?

If not, I can probably hook you up. I still have my stock receiver from when I upgraded my Savage to a synthetic set up. PM for details.

The radio isn't the standard one. I've asked the guy at the local model shop if he can get the HPI one - he say's he's gonna try. I was just wondering if there was a cheaper option out there. thanks for the offer of your receiver, I'll keep it in mind. How much would you want for it and what would the postage costs be like to the UK?

Probably ten dollars (US) for the receiver and the shipping would have to be determined based on your address. Luckily, I am on the East Coast of the US and not in California...so shipping shouldn't be too bad. The thing can't weigh but a couple of ounces.

Just a quick message to let you know that I've managed to get a receiver from the local model shop - for free! I've got to know the guy who runs it and cos I bought the savage from him he let me have the receiver for nothing. Thanks for the offer though, maybe I could take u up on that oneday as I'll probably need another one with the extra channels when I put the reverse module in. Thanks again,
Rob78

Glad to hear you got what you need. It is always a good idea to get in good with your LHS owner. If you ever need anything, let me know.
