New radio problems

So I got a great deal on a JR XS3 radio system. The problem is that the darn thing doesn't fit in the receiver box on my Revo. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Thanks.

That's the 2.4 one right? If it is you might be able to use a Spektrum micro RX.

The JR X3S is a 75mhz synthesized system, if you are running the 5308 model receiver box its made for a micro receiver. You will need a older style receiver box to fit that receiver. Traxxas went to a micro receiver with the 5308 which really cleans up the look but will only fit a a receiver with the dimensions of 1.5in X 1.25in not exactly sure of the height (I am thinking .75in).

I think I got it solved. I think if I move to the RS310 receiver from JR it should do the trick. I do have a 5308 model and the receiver box is very small. Hopefully the RS310 works.

you are absolutely correct the jrs310 will fit. I have same radio with the same receiver you currently have but I also have the original receiver box. I was going to get the jrs310 so I could swap boxes but managed to get a futaba 3PM 2.4ghz fast radio system free by being a friends pit man at the races at Motorama in Harrisburg, pa. 2 weeks ago. He never used the radio he bought it and then won a 4pk in a race so he gave me the 3PM for being his pit man.
