Man I am excited for this thing. Finally a competitor for Tekno.

Tekno has never been the only 4wd SCT option... just the correct one. 🤪 🤣 Just kidding. I was hoping Losi was getting back in the game after the SCTE 3.0 discontinued. PR Racing is another one of those sleeper brands that always demands a second look. The news flash is lacking. I need more than just crumbs to feed on. C'mon Taiwanese greatness.

True, but Tekno is the only brand with a true race kit platform. Losi is down in the hole gone forever imo, associated has the Pro4 sc10 but that's more of a basher but still tracks pretty well although I don't classify it as race. Xray and the other brands don't have a SCT platform unless it's a 2wd Mid Motor soooo with that it's nice to have a competitor now.

I just wanna see how this plays out. They promote it with carpet tires. Wondering if 4x4 SCT will make a comeback on carpet but most tracks over here in the US would probably say "oh no we can't run that it's too unsafe to marshal and it damages the carpet badly 🤓" - like buggies and 2wd SCT/truck doesn't lol.

If based off of their PR SB401R-T mini truggy, I hope they listened to all my _itchin' about the platform lacking 32P spur gear option. I searched up and down the interwebs for anybody modding their ride with a beefier spur gear to handle outside-in-the-elements usage. I'd have me one or two of their mini truggies to toss around in the dirt and not worry about chewing on a piece of Mother Earth's gristle.

So awesome to see this thing coming down the pike! September is a long way off 🍿. I don't know where this info came from. Only thing I found was FB post with one photo that you show. What do companies have against updating their website info?

32P... the RC gods have listened!
A little over two years ago, I was wanting another mini truggy to compare to my ET410. You wouldn't believe how far I've gone in search of a 32P center diff mod/swap that I could do/use on PR Racing's SB401R-T mini truggy. Nothing to be found. No beefy spur to handle dirt... no truck for me.

I probably would be in the market for this new SCT if I had PR Racing's SB401R-T already. :(

Any word from team associated?
For a competitor? The only true competitor to this would be tekno. Losi is down in the hole and cannot be saved (Alice in chains reference), associated won't get into race grade 4x4 SCT as SCT is too far gone to be/have a come back. The only true good sct that they have is 2wds, or the Pro4 sc10 which is actually pretty good but marketed towards a basher but does way much better on the track compared to a stock slash 4x4 any day. Although AE doesn't have a LCG chassis upgrade or conversion for it which is the con compared to the Traxxas and race grade PR and Tekno. Unless you make your own custom chassis and I would believe new bulkheads as well. If SCT makes a huge comeback, speaking in like pro level, I would be genuinely surprised. But buggies and truggies are the new thing. That's why @Littlemotor only likes them and nothing else 😜😬😆

Thank you for your input. Makes sense.

Any word from team associated?
Do you mean a 4wd SCT kit making its way to forefront of Area 51's drawing board?
Team Associated is playing it safe with the RTR basher market.

Buggies and truggies are the old thing actually, but SCTs are more fun (imo)

Hope they make a comeback. 2wd especially.
