Merry Christmas All,

Got my LST2 for Xmas and charged everything properly, loaded it with fuel, tried to start it up - nothing. Have checked the carb settings, battery voltages, fuel flow etc. Stumped. I'd really appreciate some fresh ideas here as I've has the truck 1 week now and am itching to use it! Thanks guys.

the first start can be tricky. prime it. and roto the hell out of it. give it a lil gas if need be. thats what i had to do with mine. and are you using the glow ignitor that came with the lst2? it might be that then. its junk. upgrade to one of the aftermarket glow ignitors.

Can you see the fuel getting to the carb?

Remove the glow plug and put it in the igniter to make shore it's working, it should get very bright.

If both of those are good try to preheat the engine with a heat gun or hair dryer.
Let us know what you find.

Thanks for the replies.
I've checked the fuel and the plug, both fine. I'm using my other glow starter which works just fine. I've gone through the battery trying to start it! Flooded the engine, dried it out, etc.
The only thing I haven't tried is heating the engine. It's only about 6c here so might that have something to do with it?

oh yeh, that will do it. hair dryer is your friend.

Thanks for your help guys. Even though I was using the button on the tank to prime the engine no fuel was reaching the carb. Case of finger over the exhaust and turning over the engine!
Thanks again for your help guys, as usual!

you might not want to break it in in that temp but I'm no expert. I've just seen people toast engines by doing that
