Would like to know if a 2.5 T-Maxx new in the box for $210 would be worth getting ? I have herd that they break all the time is that true ? What would you recomend to make it harder to break. Thanks

Bulk heads F/R and RPM a arms. Every RC breaks even with upgrades though not as much.

Aluminum bulkheads F/R is what I think twocane was referring to...and what twocane said, RPM arms would be a very good investment, if it is brand new in the box that is not a bad price, just break it in properly and stay away from solid objects that don't move and you will break things a lot less..

I have had Revos and Savages, and I have never broke any thing on the Savage and I do not remember any thing on the Revo breaking. I was looking for a truck for the wife, I should probably get her a Tank like the Savage because I am sure she will find something to run in to.

Thanks thats what I meant aluminum bulks :D
and make sure to avoid those objects.

OFNA1 if you have not broke anything, you have not drove it hard enough..LOL..but really.

I think for the wife that T-Maxx would be great and you can't beat that price for a brand new rig, even if it's a 2.5. IMO

That was what I was thinking. I have broken thing on my buggy which I do crazy jumping with, and on my old jato and RC10GT which my friend and I were driving and he hit me head on with the jato when it was new and broke it all up, the RC10GT was all RPM and hop ups and it just kept on going with a few scratches.

Just remember when you take your wife out to drive her RC that you find a big open field, that way she can practice and work on her skills, then you can slowly work down to areas with more obstacles and she should be Ok, LOL!!!

I have a couple maxxes and stampedes...

The gf crashed her stampede 1st go round right into a tree and broke a shock but everything else survived...

I let her drive my Maxx thats all OEM and she crashed it into a fence and sent it for about 6 roll overs in the street and its still got a decent body and no issues (and that doesn't include all of the jumps i've taken it off of and tortured it with...

for $210 I think it's a deal...

I think it will be ok, I will put RPM stuff on it for her and I think she will be good to go. Have you ever used the RPM Skid plates ? and do they make Bulk heads for the Maxx ?

I just got the Tower Hobbies catalog the other night in the mail. They sell the 2.5 RTR for $354.99. Not sure if the on-line price differs, but for $210.... snatch that thing up!!

hecks yea 210 I've seen more expensive used ones on craigslist id take it

I am, paid for it today. I will be adding the after market stuff to help make it stronger for her. I wish I could have found a new Revo for $300 but I think this will work, plus it has reverse and the new Revos do not.
