So I am not in need of a new engine but there are a few options that I can go with for prices that can't be missed. So I figure I should not miss out on the low prices and pick up one of these engines for the future.

I just need help identifying which engine should be right for me. I have a 2012 Savage x 4.6 with the stock f4.6. I have stock pipe and stock 17/47 gearing. Also running Hitec HS645mg servos for both throttle and steering and the xl tvp's. I run big Joes on Axial non beads and also have stainless steel dual disc brakes and I mainly bash.

If you guys can give me any info on which engine you recommend and which may be good for me. Each of these are going for around ~$55-$90 and all are brand new.

losi lst xxl 454 big block motor
LRP 32815 ZR .30 X Truggy nitro engine
Ofna 52208 Force Big-Block .32 Nitro Engine Pull-Start

Thanks Guys!

I wish I could have gotten my 454 fr that cheap. Any of them would be a great engine, I have the 454, and it screamed in a heavier truck. It's the same displacement as the stock f4.6. The Losi 454 is rumored to be a re-badged LRP .28 Spec 3.

Actually, I had the Ofna too. I replaced that one for the 454. My opinion, go with the 454 or the LRP .30.

I stripped out the threads for the glow plug. That motor just seemed like doggish compared to the 454 though. Bigger isn't always better. I had it in a Ofna Mutilator truggy, which is a pretty heavy truck. The 454 seemed to handle the weight much better.

That was my thinking that the largest of the 3 would give me the most power. Is the Ofna Force more of a high end performer?

Not really, seemed more like it was built as a low- to mid-range. The Mutilator was supposed to be a race truggy, but like it's buggy counter-part, the Violator, it was built to larger than legal specs.

How about tuning? Any issues with tuning any of these engines? How do they each do at holding a tune?

The 454 was the easiest engine I've tuned. Seal it before you run it, break it in and it'll be easy.

just put a lrp 32 in a home-built xl. looks to be a fine engine once i finnish putting it together and get it broken in. have heard good things about lrp
