New Engine???

I have had a stock motor for almost 3 gallons of fuel now, it is the traxxas 2.5 motor and its about to crap out or at least it seems like it, and want to go with another engine, i was thinking about doing the engine replacement thing from traxxas for $105 and i was wondering if there is another motor that is better but not really expensive that wont require modification. Just let me know please.

you should either look at an O.S engine, they are really good. or i would go to the sirio .18 engine. i have only heard good things about them.

It all depends on what OS to get. Some os's like the O.S. .15cvx (what i have) is an AWSOME mill, but your actually going down from the 2.5. You should look at the sirio, i've heard they have monster power. I'm actually going to be getting a 2.5 to replace my OS when it dies.

Yeah ill I've heard is good things about the sirio trx 3.0 and it is a direct replacement to the 2.5!

Yes get the Sirio.... Awesome mill ask kk about that............ and Sd don't waste your money on the 2.5 go straight to the sirio........ When I first got my 2.5 It was an awesome engine.. then around 2 1/4 gallons my conrod stretched and destroyed my bearings.... rebuilt it new bearings ne P/S and now it is a POS!!!! half the time it won't even run more than half a tank.... And a tuning nightmare... just My 2 cents....

Cool i will definately get the sirio but the thing is, i can't go and spend 190 bucks every two months for a new motor
