Well, I finally got off my ass yesterday and put the new OS 30vg in my LST. It took my several hours because I like to clean up my trucks really good before I put a new engine in them. I fixed a few other problems it had while it was torn down as well.

Now all I have to do is go through that frustrating break in process that I hate doing. I might get to it next weekend because we are gonna be watching the big game today. Go Cardinals!!!!
 
Damn those Cardinals, oh well they still rule !:hehe: Anywho, the truck(LST) looks good with the new engine in it.......not to mention with those tires on it !:D Let me/us know how it goes woth break-in and try to get some vids of it if you can.;)
 
I might get to fire it up for the first time today.

BTW, what is that 'red' deal in between the front chassis rails and your RPM a-ams on the ?:shrug:
Durwank said he likes his shocks and has had them for years and never had any problems.:D

The red deal is the Dynamite aluminum steering bell cranks. I like my steering system to be as stiff as possible to help eliminate slop. Yes, I do love those shocks! They're almost big enough to work on a mountain bike! The only problem I had with them was that they leaked around the caps. I used a little sisicone at the " o ' rings and they haven't leaked since. They work awesome. I don't know why so many people don't like them.
BTW, I started this new engine up yesterday and ran a couple of tanks through it. Made so much smoke down in my basement even with 2 windows open that I had to run out of there!lol I hate breaking in engines but it will be worth it when it's done.

I hate it when that happens !:D Now let's get a vid of all that !;)

Hey BTW, I just ordered a set of the blue RPM A-arms for my LST2, along with some other hop-ups(ie.caps, adjusters, bushings) to make my shocks all aluminum(blue). & a set of shock boots.

Yup, Taz said it. There's a lot of guys here that don't like them but I don't know why. They work awesome for me. The damn things are almost big enough to work on my mountain bike. lol

I wanna see that !;):D:hehe::p: BTW, I like the idea of the steering being as stiff as possible, so where did you get the Dynamite aluminum steering bell cranks & how much ? Part # ?

Don't get those shocks you will be not happy.I had a set,Now I had them and sold them all they do is leak I tried everything to stop the leak but no luck,Stick with the stock ones.

If I might suggest something--I would move that fuel filter if I were you. If it didn't get hot and cook the fuel with the stocker it sure will with the OS...
 
Could you show me how to run the fuel line so it won't be so close to the engine?
 
Well, I have it running great now and I did run the fuel line around the back of the fuel tank and looped through the shock tower to the carb. The fuel filter is on the same side as the carb now and is out of the way of the heat from the engine. We'll see if this works better.

I wanna 'SEE' just how you ran your fuel line.;) I know you said how, but I wanna 'See' it.:D
