ok so if i were to buy a replacement engine for my revo does the break in apply still , (sorry if its a newb question )and do they really do the engine replacement plan at traxxas or my lhs?

Yes you lhs can do the ERP [engine replacement plan]. And yes the engine break-in is still needed

alright good to know , i think I'm going to have to do that , i nroke the top of the mill today with just minor jumps and the engine just isnt going good

You can buy a new cooling head insted of a whole newengine. You won't need to break it in if you get a new cooling head.

ya i know but the engine is running like sh$t, so for about 50 more i could get a new engine and start from scratch. the break in process wasn't good at all (i was a newb and didnt pay enough attention, i also had a major crash which didnt help anything in the beginning , so all in all I'm going to buy a new engine probably, all I've had is trouble with this one

Well I'm all for replacing the stock Revo motor but are you sure that you got that thing tuned right? How much fuel have you run through that motor?

y about 2 gallons i know its not much but the dang thing is cursed , i get it tuned right then it runs good for abit and then starts going to crap ,

Try replacing the fuel tubing, and sealing up the engine. Also, try replacing the o-ring on the fuel tank lid. Those seem to go bad and cause a lot of headaches.

Depending on which engine you have, for approximately $20 more you can buy a new one without having to turn in your old. Check Tower Hobbies for special discounts that are offered pretty regularly. I got tired of breaking the original exhaust manifolds so I went with the OS 18tm with manifold for $129.99 with coupon. Held on to the old mill for a spare / back-up. Right now, on Tower, you can buy a 2.5r with recoil for $109.95 with coupon and keep your old one for parts. Just my 2 cents.

i ned the 3.3 engine , and i need something in canadian dollars, i got a feww shops around here but i will astill take a look at tower, i here alot of good comments on that site, thanks

That sounds about right....my 2.5r did the same thing around 2gls. It wouldn't hold a tune past an hour. I sealed the motor and installed new fuel line etc. I finnally swaped in an OS .18 and never looked back.

PS, Tower Hobby rules !!

i dont think so but with the trinity pipe apprently is gives some good power, from what i've heard
