My 3rd truck is going to be a extended chassis 4907. C. service at traxxas said the 4907 is a extended chassis and that it could only be stock coming out of the tranny, because the truck is longer and no steel, alum, etc, parts have been made for it yet.
He also told me the 4908 is not extended and the 4907 is extended. I now think this is wrong. I got ordered a chassis that has only a small opening for the steering servo. It is not big enough for 2 servos. So I am thinking it is a extended chassis and they just don't have forward/reverse on them. so I really don't know if the one I order is the extended, 4908,4907 or none of these.

Both 4908 and 4907 are extended. You can actually see where it's extended. Extended chassis has a /\ shaped front. The short chassis has no peak and
Is flat like
This ---

Kyleb is right. The 4910 is the short chassis. If you only have room for the steering servo then it's an extended chassis. The newer model t maxx is a forward only trans thats why there is no room for the shifting servo next to the steering servo.

The 4909 maxx truck is not an extended one either. I thought the 4908 was just a thicker chassis had no idea it was an extended chassis.:\

You can also upgrade to steel cvds for center its takes 6mm drive cups 77 mm hpi dogbone for rear and I'm not quite sure what length for front. traxxas doesn't want you to know this tho. They tried to make it to where people could only run the 3.3 in the t maxx

For the 4907 extended chassis its a 77mm bone front and rear. I bought the FLM kit off ebay but the bone they send with it is way too short. So i just picked up a coupke of HPI dogbones to use. They hold up great under the torque of the picco .26 i have. Nothing else I've tried survived. Even the $60 set of stainless slip yoke driveshafts that i bought and broke within a gallon of fuel.
