I have an Ofna LD3 (stock red head engine)

Since I am still not sure if I really want to get into onroad racing this year (planning on running my buggy and possibly getting a Jammin or Hellfire to race) I dont want to spend alot of money on a whole new car. So, I figured I would just drop in some better servos, a new engine/pipe and see how I do. Since racing is 80-90% driver anyway I dont think the LD3 is going to make THAT much of a difference for now.

So, keeping in mind I dont want to spend alot of money, can someone suggest a ROAR legal engine / pipe combo for under $200. If one of you have one for sale that still has alot of life left in it I may consider it. I have a starter box so non pull start is not an issue. Links to your suggestions would be highly appreciated.

The STS D3R is a decent engine. It is on the cheap side but will perform well. A few guys at the hobby shop used to run this engine, even raced with it in their NTC3's. Granted it's not an italian mill but it does have a lot of bang for the buck. A guy I know that is based out of Winter Park, Florida has them for sale on eBay. CLick HERE for his eBay store.

His name is Michael and is very straight up about his products. This with a decent RDlogics or OFNA pipe will keep you in the $200 range, Unfortunately, for the racing mills that you have seen me use at the track, those start at $250 for the nonmodified mills. Rob, I will be at the LHS tomorow so I will see what they have there in the case. I do know that there are a few Nova mills (not Novarossi) in the case that are ROAR legal. If I can get you a good price, I'll call you.
