I don't know what an F01 is honestly. I'm guessing you're looking for an engine that won't break the bank? All of the OFNA engines are marketed that way.

If you're looking for a cheap, race legal engine with plenty o performance, get the Hyper .21 8-port. If you don't care about being race legal, the Picco .26 is an awsome engine at a great price.

If you want to race and money is no object, it's a different story.

My friend has been telling me that he knew someone with a Storm and he had an OFNA F Zero One or something like that. I can't find nothing of it. Maybe I have the OFNA part wrong and its anohter company that makes it. Oh and would carbon fiber compoents really drop alot of wait on my storm. I know CF drop crazy weight on our real cars but I'm still new with RC.

An Ofna 8-port would do you well without breaking the bank. Theres always the OS and the Sirio, but they get expensive. Spend atleast a season with the stock RTR one just to learn how to drive well.

Quest, I think you're referring to the Picco 0-1 or 0-1BP, a very decent motor but slightly tough to tune. The Hyper .21 8P Race, and the Picco .26 is also a great motor. What's the price range you're looking in?

I have the Hyper-8 in my Storm and it is really fast!! The break-in was difficult, but ask your LHS for help like I did.

I havent even devloped a price range yet. even though I just started I always look at the future. I wanted to know these questions for when I wanted to buy a new, if one of my friends wanted to know, or if I blew mine up. This way I would have to research it I would just get the motor I had checked into, lol.

:llama: I don't understand the llama but its great stuff

storm engine replacement

I just installed a GS r21pb. I blew up the stock motor and was tempted to take the motor from my virgin storm (keeping her for a special day, like when all my other cars a broke and I am jonesing for the smell of Niro)
Anyhoo this Gs motor has 2.4 hp compared to about 1.9 in the stock motor. It is beautiful, after breaking it in we did some mild runs. At half throttle it was going almost as fast as the stock motor. Get this the temp was like 150 if that. After a few more tanks I decided it was time to open it up. I barely leaned it from the factory setting and man did that thing fly. I love speed. This thing was a blur, hard to control, after a few more full throttle runs we temped it at about 215-220!!!! unbelievable.
I know GS isn't the big name in motors but for $200 I am thrilled
