Well, new to me anyway, I picked this up from Nitrobuzzard. I heard the UPS stop at the house (he didn't come up the ice covered driveway for some reason, wuss :D) so I hiked down to the road to meet him. It's the 1/10 E Revo brushless edition. I've been wanting one for a while, but just wasn't willing to spend that kind of money to see if it was for me or not. I have a couple small things on the way for it, and a couple of bigger things planned for it, but other than that it will stay mostly stock unless something breaks. It already has the upgraded anodized GTR shocks, and what appears to be MIP CVD drives at all four corners. I'll post up mods as they're done, first things first is a good tear down to check the diffs, and rewire the ESC so I can run a single pack when I let my nephew drive it.

I got the matching set now :D

Making some progress on the tear down. I'm now on hold for a couple of days, as I don't have both of the diff fluids that I want to use so I'm going to have to order some.

My VDP kit showed up so I installed that tonight. Pretty damn cool how it works, it's basically like a mid valve a good motorcycle setup has, but for RC. It holds the truck up in the mid stroke and prevents the sagging of the stocker under acceleration, and packing under repeated hits, but opens freely on the rebound side. You can reverse it for onroad as well.

Front
#2 piston
60wt oil
orange springs

Rear
#2 piston
70wt oil
tan springs

We'll see how that works and go from there

Got some more work done tonight

I pulled the trans, cleaned & lubed all the bearings, lubed the internals with red 'n tacky, put it all back together and installed my 54T spur gear.

I tore both diffs down, happy to report everything looks good. Cleaned & lubed all the bearings, cleaned all the internals and rebuilt with 30K rear and 50K front.

Well I got pretty much finished for now tonight

Got the ESC wiring redone

Got all the electronics re-installed, then moved on to getting the servo horns at 90, and the steering rack as mechanically straight as I could get it before resorting to trim. All the while making sure the servos weren't fighting each other.

Installed my RPM bumpers F&R

I didn't know you had a Summit, how do you like it? Yeah man, we gotta get together this year for sure, since I was such a slacker last year and never made it out.

Proline Badlands (my favorite bash tire), Proline Desperado 1/2 offset rims, a new wing, and some wheelie bar tires that I found a use for.

I taped the tires with Gorilla tape first to help prevent ballooning

All done, the new wheels give it a nice wide stance. I'm anxious to drive it now and see how much of a difference it made.
