Was wondering if anyone is running a 19T clutch bell with a 47T spur gear. The company says that if you use a 19T clutch bell you need to upgrade to a 49T spur gear. Was wondering why and what are the reasons. Thanks for the help.

There is not enough space to accomodate a 52T spur with a 19T clutchbell.

You can use a 47 or a 49. I prefer the 49 with a 19 bell gear though so you don't loose all torque. Which is the reason they tell you to get a bigger spur gear. Here is a quick little guide for gearing. The higher the number ratio the more torque you get but slower speed. he lower the ratio...higher speed lower torque.
You divide the spur gear, into the bell gear like this, 52 Divided by 13 = 4 turns for the Bell gear and 1 for the Spur or a 4:1 ratio

52/13= 4:1 Low End Power / Hill Climbing

52/15= 3.46:1

52/18= 2.88:1

49/19= 2.58:1

49/18= 2.77:1

49/13= 3.76:1

49/15= 3.26:1

49/18= 2.72:1

47/13= 3.61:1

47/15= 3.13:1

47/18= 2.61:1

47/19= 2.47:1

Top End Power / SPEED

Robinson racing Comb 48/16 = 3

Hey guys thanks for the help. I guess there was a misunderstanding, because I wasn't asking about a 52T spur. Thats what I didn't get. All good on this side. Thanks for all the input.
