After my complete re-build with the new Titanium Hardcore chassis, I have determined that it is just a tad, maybe 1-2 mm longer. I know this because when I put the body back on, the mounting holes didn't quite line up and the hole for the engine was up against the cooling head. It wasn't off by much and with my trusty dremel things fit better now. I also had a little more slop in my driveline than before. No problem there, I just added some extra O-rings to take up the slack. Just wanted to pass it along for those taking on a chassis replacement.

I should correct myself. It's more of a re-assembly than a re-build. What started out as an RTR GS Storm has now gone through a transformation. Titanium shock towers, titanium chassis, Mugne MBX shocks w/Mugen light blue springs, and a new RB Concept engine (just finished breaking in when the stock chassis broke).

Do u have any pics? And what was the final $$$?

Lost track of what all the upgrades cost. Including the cost of the buggy and the Ti stuff, the new engine, the three sets of tires, I've probably got over a grand into it. Here are some pics of the highlights (chassis and mugen shocks).

Good job. Keep us posted on the performance and pics of it in action.

That thing is looking TITS bro, good work. How is that RB? I have heard so many good things about them I think I might buy one for my RTR. I am not switching the Sirio out of my Pro that engine is just too sweet, but then again I might like the RB better.:redbuggy:

one hint, next thing I would change is that loud ass performance robbing pipe.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm back home on vacation in NH and didn't have room for the buggy. Going through withdrawals (sp?). Last weekend would have been the first chance to run it with the new chassis and shocks, but with all the packing and maintenance on my real car, I ran out of time and didn't get to run it. So I will have to live on the comments, racing and bashing that all of you do and post in here until I return to VA.

Blazer - as far as the RB goes, I can say that the break-in was lengthy as the instructions had me run many, many tanks of fuel through it. But that's fine, nothing like a good rich break-in. What little I did get to run it before my stock chassis broke, it ran well.
Very fast and still a little on the rich side. I mentioned this in another thread, but I can't imagine what a top of the line engine would run like. This RB is the entry level CE engine and it's plenty fast for me. As much as the LHS guys rave about the OS engines, they all agreed that the RB is right up there and many of them were switching over the RB's. Specifically the WS7 or something. Some race proven engine that RB makes. Anyways, Hello from NH and keep those weekend stories coming, I'll need them.
