New censor. HELP!!!!!

I have a T MAXX 3.3 with a 2.4 ghz remote. I have just bought a new antenna and censor black box. I have disconnected and reconnect 3 wires. I turn on my car and a red light continually blinks. No response in steering controls. I assume I have to re-set it to receiver. Any idea how I do this. I have been sitting here with my son for 2 hours going through the book. No success.

Can someone please give me a hand so my son can play before the sun goes down.

did you bind the remote to the receiver ??..you have to hold the "set" button while you turn the power on ..remote first then the receiver ..hope this helps

and if you have the optidrive ..you might have to reprogram that to

from what i can understand , you bought just a receiver ?? right ?? did you get the right one ?? if you have the first model of 2.4ghz radio , it is not compatible with the newer ones ....the original ones have a grey remote

I brought the old receiver in. I gave it to the man and he replaced it. It looks identical to the other. Apples and apples. I have tried to bind system... Hold set down then turn on..... Hold link down then turn on. Still not working. Son walked away. Dad is just as disappointed. Suggestion? I'll take anything right now.

if they wont bind , its prob the wrong box ....thats the only thing i can think of ....what color is your remote ?? and what is the model number of the receiver ?? 2217 ?? or 2218??

The remote is black
the number on the replacement is 2218
I still have the old one. Both numbers are the same.

Nothing. The only thing I can think of is the new one is defective. My luck.

First make sure all the battery are full a week battery will put it in falesafe mode.

This is how to properly bind the sys.

1.press and hold the transmitter set button as you switch the transmitter on the transmitter will flash red slowly release the set button.
2. press and hold the receivers link button as you switch the model on. release the link button
3. when the transmitter and receiver led turn solid green, the system is bound and ready for use.
4. confirm that the throttle and steering work properly before driving the car.

Hope this helps. But make sure the battery are good first, you can look at traxxas.com for more program instructions if needed.
