It looks like OFNA is releasing a new buggy. It's a new Hyper 7 Paul Coleman Racing Edition. I wonder what the cost is going to be. Here are the details: PCR Edition Hyper 7

Looks pretty neat. Airfilter mount idea seems cool, the copied-off-traxxas engine head cap is nice, and you gotta love those prepainted bodies. :classic: Wish they would switch the radiobox to a Kyosho style though (if your gonna copy, you might as well copy all the good bits eh)

Something tells me it won't exactly be cheap though. In recent years Ofna's quality has greatly improved, however their prices have also flown through the roof. (prices are now pretty much comparable to Kyosho/Mugen....)

Hmm wonder whats happening with that 9.5 violator - anyone got any newer info on it? only stuff i've seen was at the Jammin site, and Ofna's gay little "coming soon" pic. And all that was months ago..

I think they suck - one day ofna is gonna figure out that it isnt cool to paint the windows, lol. of course, ofna bodies arnt really painted, they are dyed.

dyed? screen printed I think. either way, adds a little flair to the RTR cars. Boring two-colour schemes are kind of CRAP... hmm GS Storm, original Hyper7-RTR's, and plenty other RTR's I could name.
These new designs might not be CharlieB-airbrushed, but their a huge step up from the oldies, and maybe I'm not a huge painting guru like you, so they look good to me... :violin:

the poop that just seems to pour out your mouth all the time. You have diareha of the mouth. The GS Storm RTR body style does suck but show meow an RTR that doesn't. OFNA's are of the worst offenders in this category. The GS Storm RTR comes with a 3 color body with tinted widows. And it i actuall painted and not printed.

Take a chill pill. You seriously need to OD on em dude.
I think Ofna does a better job than most with their current flame schemes. That's just my opinion. Not yours. If you don't agree, go on say so. But don't bother with the childish babbles.

The thing I find funny about this is that this is a promotional article for one of Ofna's Pride and Joy models and if you look at the left rear tire, the tread goes a different direction than the other 3. Hee hee, OOPS:jet:

That is a really sweet setup dave. Nice and clean. Nice paint on the lid too. Does PCR only make stuff for the Ofnas or other buggy MFGR too??

PCR is just for the Ofna Hyper as of now, but the company that makes the PCR is call Titan Tech I think. They may make parts for others. The PCR stuff looks sweet, but it is high dollar. Friend of mine has front/rear towers, radio tray, braces. He got kinda bummed when he bent his second PCR front tower. at $40 ea. I'll stick to my stock ones, $4 shipped ebay;)

It is a very nice car indeed, only drawback is the throttle/brake laydown linkage, it's vulnurable to T-bone collisions and hopefully OFNA/PC will figure out a workaround if they want to keep lay down configuration, which in theory will help handling and stability. I plan on getting a Hyper 7 soon for next summer and will try to get all the PCR parts.

I got another PCR part over the weekend so only have a couple of bits to go and i will have every part that they make.

I got hte rear shock tower stiffiner.

Here is a link to the shop in the UK that got all the parts for me.

Dave

Here is a pic just to show it does get used;)

did anybody not notice that both servos were laid down on the new pcr edition?! That looks trick!

L8r,
Garrett

Lay down servos look trick indeed, but how long will the throttle linkage last? A T-bone collision will most likely take it out, that's the only concern about the new setup, otherwise I like it and would love a Hyper 7 PCR someday.
