I've tried posting this twice so I hope it sticks this time.

I've ordered the new ElCamino SS blue body, with blower, for my Savage and the new Silver Flag body boy OFNA for my Kyosho Kanai. OFNA has put out some very impressive prepainted bodies. Check them out at www.ofna.com under the bodies link. You can also find a TON of cool bodie at www.hpiracing.com .

Here are the pics!

Christian, where did you get a blue ElCamino body? Mine came clear. I painted it Daytona Yellow with a black bed, chrome blower, bumpers and pipes, it looks awesome. I will post some pics of it in a day or two. I have to get the film developed. Everytime I think of getting a digital camera i spend the $$$ on my T, lol.

looks sweet i like the el camino body I'm thinking about on for my maxx.

lol! I might be in for a surprise then when it comes in. I ordered it through my LHS and just said I wanted the blue one. If it comes clear, I should be able to paint it. I only want 2 colors. The black hood stripes with blue body. I'm sitting on a handful of Pactra paints and a brand new Paasche compressor and Paasche dual stage brush with a 1, 3 and 5 needle. I may need some pointers for tip sizes etc.

Ill keep you posted if it comes in clear hehehe....

The OFNA body definately comes prepainted.

If you ordered it from the hobby shop you are in for a surprise. It will be clear. It is one of the most difficult bodies to trim and paint that I have done yet. The blower comes in three pieces, the part sticking out of the hood (which is attached to the body), the part with the butterflies, and then the top piece. The front bumper is also seperate and needs to be painted, trimmed, and mounted. Screws are included to mount the blower pieces and bumper. I put a very small piece of fuel tubing over the bumper screws between the body and bumper, it gives it a more realistic look and a little flexability as well. I most likely will be putting mine on e-bay, there is no way that blower is going to stand up to any harcore bashing. Maybe put it on with some street tires and cruise around the neighborhood, thats about it. It looks great though! I wish HPI would make some 200mm older muscle cars for their tc's. I would love to have something like that Camino for my RS4 3. Are you going to paint the blower, pipes, and bumpers chrome? The black stripes are decals, and although the decals are pre-cut I still cut them myself since they were not cut as closely as I would have liked them, break out the exacto anyway. If you have any questions when you get ready to paint and decal it lmk, I have a few good tips for you.

your all body mad:thumbsup:

Hi guys it has been a while for me , but a lot has gone on.
my super is 99% finished and i got a FG leopard just before christmas....23cc of wicked power with it`s hop ups:cool:

8-0 Wel I wonder why HPI wouldnt specify that on their site. Then again, they dont say its painted either. But all the other TRUCK bodies are.... *grumble* *grumble*!

I can't believe they dont even give you the blower prepainted.

PAIN IN THE ASS!

Umph!
