I recently upgraded the bellcranks on my savage 25 to use the Ofna Monster Pirate one with bearings. It's a great setup, but I may get a friend that works at a machine shop to make a new crossbar that will work a little better and allow me to put short bolts with locknuts through the bellcrank arms. This new setup turns the wheels much better since the factory servo saver was giving a little when you turned the wheels...

Anyway, I was at my LHS and saw the new Hot Bodies Lightning 1/7 scale street car. I noticed that it has the bellcranks with servo saver built in. The size and design of them look very similar to me to the stock setup for the savage. I am wondering how well these would work in a savage, maybe a direct bolt-on? The aluminum crossbar used in this setup seems to have about the same hole pattern too. Only concern may be that the spring used in this setup isn't stiff enough, which could be corrected with spacers?

Anyone wanna try it?

I had done the Ofna MP upgrade also it's well worth it. I would like to make a better arm that goes between the two uprights that the tierod ends connect to, so you can use bearing in them. This would make the steering alot smoother.

Hmm...good idea. If I find some bearings that would work for something that small I could get my friend to fab one out of aluminum.
