Decided I was going to have to change something on my factory t-maxx to make it run cooler/better, so yesterday I went to the lhs and bought a ACNC head. The install was simple, I wish my mud trucks were that quick and easy. I have a little track set up in my warehouse that me and my brother mess around on, so I fire the truck and it idles about 50 times better, and the low end punch is a lot better, but something seemed out of place, it would accelerate a little slower than normal, the brakes didn't work, the steering was slow, and on a WOT pass, it would bog out of the hole and cut in and out when it hit 2nd. Then, it started to not respond to the controller. So I go get it, pop in 4 fresh batteries in the receiver, and wow, you would have thought I put nitrous on that thing. All the bad stuff it was doing before, it wasn't doing now. I never knew that batteries would be THAT significant in how everything runs, I thought they just decided if it ran or not. This head is pretty bad ass, the motor runs 190-200 on the same tune that had it running 260-270 with the factory head. Also, even though I said it wasn't important to me earlier, but the power gains are a lot of fun, it is very noticeable, and it's about 10 times more reliable, never stalled once in 5 tanks of fuel. Anybody still running that stock paper weight has got to get one of these. Also, so far so good with the Q plug you recommended plaid, I hope that problem is solved.

I think you are supposed to be running about 220 degrees or so... 190 is a little low.

Yeah, I changed the batteries and only ran another 2 tanks through it just getting used to it and then called it a night. I am going to tune it a little bit tonight, but until I can get a better idea how to do that, I will keep my adjustments on a small scale.

when it's really Good head you have to buy it deserves to be shared w/ close friends.....
No matter how you say that....EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

O h so I guess none of you have ever had to pay for a good head....must be a bunch of pros on this site.......LOL.....I always thought if it was a good deal you were supposed to share it w/ your friends.....

greedy bastard.....LOL...
well I guess I just grew up around a different crowd of people......
next time I get a good head that lets me run longer and stronger I'll just keep it to myself I guess.....and we won't even touch the whole plug issue unless we want this going to the FFA.....

we are a twisted bunch here.....

I'd have to agree with all these guys...most of these guys are twisted.
Jared I have to recommed getting a 5 cell 6 volt rechargable batter pack. They last longer than 4AAs and give your servo's much more punch.

Man you guys are freaks LMFAO!!! Its amazing how much a COOLING head can help your motor. I out on a dynamite cooling head on my .15 maxx and it also made a huge differance.

That's the one I have on mine, but you might as well go to the lhs and get it, it's $5 cheaper for the item on e-bay, but once you pay to have it shipped, it comes out $5 more than what I paid locally, and factor in the time you have to wait for it to get there. Since I work in a family business, I guess I am just a fan of "support your local businesses..."

The only reason I recommend ebay is because I don't have a lhs. My "lsh" is a 4 hour drive from where I'm at.

I sopport my LHS everytime i break something, or if they have it. Wich I planned on checking with them first.
