  1. Bashing
Looking into getting a Savage X 4.3 and didnt know if there are any mods that have to be made right of the bat for bashing/racing? Any weak points before I buy one? Its either this thing or a Revo for me. Input welcome.

There is so much you can do for racing, but for bashing you should be fine with the stock setup unless you want to change the gearing or get Flm ext lcg tvps.

if your gonna be bashing i would change the spur gear and the cluth bell to racing because bashing just eats them up not to hard to change but two or three in a day is just a pain for raceing to get the savage lower take shocks apart put 3/4 inch peace of fuel line in there to lower it everone says to put the suspention convertion but its 150 to 230 so if you wana do it your self you can use the top parts off of a ofna 9,5 violator you will half to mod a little bit but its only 30 bucks

you must not know how to adjust the mesh if you need 2-3 spur gears a day... My stock plastic one looks brand new after a gallon.

As far as the savage goes the only thing you need to do when you buy it is shim the diffs, the factory did a poor job of it. Thats the only thing I've broken on mine but i think i finally got it shimmed correctly.
