Quite a good flick! The best Star Trek movie since The Wrath of Kahn (not quite as good though). Very dark and "edgy" - great space battle scenes.

Nice to hear a positive review...personally, I'm saving my 20 bucks to see the second installment on the Lord of the Rings, the Two Towers.

Cool. A few friends are gettting together and we are going to go see it tonight. I have always been a big Star Trek fan. Do you think this really is going to be the last movie based on the TNG crew? At one point in time I heard that a movie was in the works that was based on the DS9 crew.

Supposed to be the final for the Next Gen crew...BUT, there's a scene where Picard takes a call from....Admiral Janeway (I guess she made it back somehow) - so it totally left that open for a movie.

Never watched an episode of Star Trek or Star Wars:D

Cool - not too many folks can claim that...I'm no Trekkie or Star Wars freak, I don't steer clear of them though either. Good entertainment value - nothing more.

yeah I don't really like Sci-Fi more less action.

Intersting. I never knew that Voyager made it home. I was watching the series until NBC took it out of the lineup for some crazy reason. About a year or so later another station picked it back up but by that time I was so lost. :(

UPN 50 plays it at like 12 at night but those are prolly re-runs, thats when I change the channel.

Yeah, Voyager makes it back in the series finale. I would probably be considered a Trekkie, although in no way am I fanatic about it. Nemesis was good, but I liked '1st Contact' better myself. Anything with the borg in it is cool with me. And I heard an interview with Patrick Stewart where he denied that this would be the last one. He said the emphasis was on "A generations final journey BEGINS". The ending pretty much sold me on the fact that there will be more. The cash cow aint quite dry yet.

My opinion - The best Trek movie yet was "The Wrath of Kahn"!

I watched "Excaliber" the other day - I've seen it before, many times - but not in a LONG time. Patrick Stewart is one of the knights of the round table!

Yeah, I'll give you that, Kahn is a classic. That parasite in the helmet scene, wicked! I'm not too much into the old Trek though, I only started really watching TNG. Do I still qualify for Trekkie status Mayham?

I'll have to get my hands on a copy of Excalibur and check out some vintage Picard. Thanx Retread!

Patrick Stewart also appeared in the old classic "Dune"...alongside Sting.

Dune.webp
