RC Driving Style
Just got my 3.3 Max 4 days ago and my daughter wanted to drive it so against my better judgement I let her.To make a long story short she gased it hard while shifting from reverse to forward and broke my tranny I heard it snap.So this is what I need from you guys since I am 4 days into this whole Tmaxx thing.
1.Any info on how hard a tranny is to change and please all the input you can give me on getting all the linkage and everything back together right.

2. Any upgrades I need to do to the transmission while it is out and where to get the parts.

And for the record from now on if someone wants to drive my truck all I can say is I hate it for them.

its no sweat.. i dont have a t-maxx. but the revo was a breeze. if it cost $8 its alot.. maybe $10.. how often do you actually use the reverse? i took it out of the revo(1 day gone.. i already mis him)its a week spot..

HEY!!! AND GET YOUR KID AN RC!!!! why should you have al the fun!! paint it pink.. i just traded my revo to get my wife her first nitro car..grr.. if she's young, get her a little tamiya lunch box.. there fun and cost about $120 with remote and esc..

yeap she deifinitely needs an RC. In fact, my step-dad is learning to drive RC's. He getting pretty good, but I would always have to be there to get the nitros started and keep them in tune for him as I wanted to worry about learning to drive first, the tuning will come later with experience. Well I just bought him his first RC to his own, and it's electric. All he has to do is charge it up and go. We're building an off-road track, so I'm ordering a bigger motor and stuff for it. Anyway, moral of the story is I gave 150 for 2 rustlers that are in like new condition, 6 batteries, a really nice charger, and a parts lot to go with them. You could watch and find her a nice RC for 60 or 70 bucks that she could learn with, and then if she drives it off a bridge, it wasn't the T-maxx. Anyway, a lot of people do a FOC tranny conversion to make them lighter, stronger, and faster. FOC is Forward Only Conversion

just go on traxxas.com and look at the exploded view and it looks like alote from that view but really is not no more the the 8 screws at the bottom of the truck unlose the brake arm and drivshafts with a alenrinch ull be fine once u have look in side of the trans thiers not much thier. hop this helps buddy

If you want to consider upgrades while it's torn down, I think Robinson makes heavy duty steel gears for the tranny
