I have a lst and was looking to upgrade my engine from a mach 427 to some thing bigger and better. I was looking for an engine that is easy to tune, better overall performance than the mach 427, and cost up the $250. I mainly am a basher.:constipat

get the lrp .28 spec 3 almost 4 hp.i put this in mine and it screams i can't keep the front end down.lots of guys here have that engine and love it

I have heard good things about them. I was wondering where I could get one. I have also heard good things about the sts .30, what do you guys think about it?

i run 20% and you will want to get a better engine brace...i have a dynamite aluminum engine brace.also use loctite on the engine bolts

the lst comes with an engine brace just not as strong as the brace i gave you a link for.i am not shure if the back plate will fit i have not tried...i use a roto start

The plastic rotostart cover of the 427 can be made to fit the LRP by elongating the holes slightly.

i am not sure,i changed mine with the engine.i was told the original was not strong enough.

I haven't broken one but still changed to a machined brace in stead of the cast std. one. I've seen plenty broken ones to warrant this upgrade.

I finished breaking in the engine. the engine is great, it flips my truck over easily.:):constipat:constipat:constipat:constipat
