Need some help with identification of this car

I received this RC car as a tutoring aid for a young man who enjoys RC vehicles. It's a great rebuild project that allows us to use math, measurements, mechanical engineering skills, photographic disassembly/assembly manual due to reading difficulties and it just seemed like a fun way to develop some academic and life skills. I knew absolutely nothing about RC but I can fix anything so we are learning as we go. I have run into a problem with the drive shaft not fitting correctly (apparently it was replaced by a previous owner with the wrong part.) I need some help figuring out what model this is. the front bumper was replaced with one that does not look anything like the broken one that came with the vehicle. any help would be appriciated
