RC Driving Style
ok well i just broke my 2.5 in today (already broke a steering block) but thats ok replaced it with a metal Dynamite one. But my prob is that ALWAYS when i take of gradually and do go fast at all and let of the gas it stalls right out (doesn't really do it if i take off fast) I'm thinking its my needles i have my high speed a lil rich (its runnin hot around 250-60) the 2.5 cooling head is crap and i leaned my low speed a lil but its reving a lil high and the idle screw is like all the out just enough so it wond stall if i put on the brake. Another thing is some times it idles erraticallyit idles high and low i need some help so i can have some good fun with it with out it stalling out
 
The same thing happend to my rs4.It ended up being to leanso try and richenthe hsn.

ok i tries that i richened the HSn just a lil then leened the LSN and it ran good then i had to put more gas in and now its stalling again
 
mines doing the same thing i think. i have a 2.5 and it revs up fine and stuff but its when i get off the gas that it dies and the idel is set plenty high becuase it will idle all day and when its idleing i can put the brakes on as hard as they will go and there is no fluxuation (i know i can't spell I'm a redneck) in the idle. but if i accelerate and then just let off the gas it dies.

also the spur gear is not freespining with the clutch bell it seems liek the bind but the truck gets power to the wheels fine
when I'm not on the gas, the spurgear immedialty stops spinning. and sometims it whistles while the truck is deccerating.
confused and utterly frustrated.
 
well i fixed mine then was bashing around the yard a bit. What i did was turn the LSN and HSn all the way in then turned each out 1/2 turn till it ran then adjusted them from there and I'm pritty sure my LSn was the problem cause its pritty leen then when i got it from the factory and my HSN is inbetween 3-3 1/2 turns open i still have to lean my LSn a tad bit cause i no i can get soem more umph off the line so ill do that tomarra when i run it again thanx for all the help . OH yea i also changed out the glow plug
 
yea thas what i did too, runs great now

i really getting tired of all the wheelies now...
 
i like the wheelies but they do get agravating sometimes i just take of gradually then hammer instead of hammering right off the line I'm thinking of ivesting in a wheely bar so it flip no more thats the only thing i dont like about wheelies when you flip
 
yea

i made wheelie bar that works ok
it wont flip anymore but I'm getting so that i dont hammer down till the truck is moveing enough not to pick up the front wheels
