Okay so it has been a few months since I have upgraded my savage to all aluminum (no plastic other than the radio box :-D). these upgrades made the savage much heavier, I installed a Axial .32 and a 3 speed tranny as well. I still don't have enough torque as I want. what should I do, I have a smaller cluck bell i could install and I was thinking about the CEN .47 but I hear it isn't much better. I also thought about twin engines but that kit comes with 2 engines i don't need. What would you do if you had a super heavy savage with a .32 and wanted to pull wheelies? (removing aluminum is not an option lol)

Mine has also put on quite a bit of weight, and because of that I'll be adding a 3 speed soon. If you're looking for a wheelie machine, weight is not your friend. If you want good traction and a very stable ride, that's where it helps.
If you want to add more power just to raise the nose, you'll be replacing other parts in the drive train. Just like real cars, race cars, oval cars, funny cars, everything is a trade off.

i ran a fairly heavy savage. (15+ lbs) and i could still pull wheelies with the 3spd and OS .30.

This is with FLM lcg extended tvp's and mid tanked. Firm LST2 shocks with the IIRC mouting setup made a big difference as well

I am not sure what you are trying to pull or accomplish but the Savage with a 3 speed and 18/49 gearing,ported/polished S25 engine with a 3 speed tranny pulls wheelies ALL DAY LONG. You really need to look at your gearing man, your tranny shift points, your cluth , your slipper clutch...

This is with the stock plastic. Add pretty HEAVY aluminum parts to replace all parts on the savage will make it much harder. I am not sure what combination to try as I have never replaced all the parts with aluminum.

LRP spec3 .28, I guarantee it will lift the front of your heavy Savage!

Got any pics of your ride? Rolex has the bling queen (and have ya finished up all the upgrades yet Rolex?)

I'm waiting for the last parts order. I'm hoping they finally show up today or tomorrow.
BOUTCH has the bling queen. Especially after he gets his custom billet rims.
As far as "dead weight" goes, it depends on what you want to do with your ride. If you like it to climb trees and do triple gaynors off the 30 meter diving platform, then yes, keep it light. If you want a very stable ride for dirt running, without spending a lot of time scratching the shiny side, then the weight plus the suspension makes a major difference.
There's a reason why a Cadillac Sedan DeVille rides so much softer than a Yugo with no radio.

aluminum on a savage is dead weight, but whatever floats your boat.

About my boat....dead weight will not float it. It will sink it.

+1 for gearing and shock set up. althought mine is not all alum, the firmer shocks did make a difference with popping the wheelies on demand. whats your current shock set up?
