On this savage of minds I was wondering what can I use besides spur gear pads on my spur gear these pads go out so quick can I glue something on there what material?

It sounds like you're running the slipper too loose.

If you try to make something else, you'll probably be running it out of balance. That will take a serious toll on the rest of the system.
Start with a new slipper, tighten it all the way down, then back it off 1/4 turn.
