I just bought a traxxas 3.3 used, ran great the first night, took it out yesterday, run fine for a lil while, Then, engine will rev up, but the truck will not respond the same. The truck will gain some speed slowly. Some one said something about checking the clutch. Ne one?

Slipper clutch. The nut on the big gear(spur). Tighten it up a half turn, then test it out. If it still slips too much, tighten it in 1/4 turn increments. You don't want to over tighten it. Crush washers apply the tension, and if you flatten them, your only option is to run it all the way tight, or locked. This leads to premature wear and tear on the driveline components. Any metal to metal nuts and bolts really should have medium duty thread locker applied. If the problem keeps occurring, blue locktite is the answer.

thanks,

I will try that, thanks.
