need help!!

I have had my Savage XL for about 2 months now. The break went with out a hitch, and I have been having a blast with jumping it off anything I can find. It has a tone of speed and is unbelievably stable in flight. Anyways here is my problem. I get it running good for about 5 minutes, then the idle starts kicking it into high gear and the truck takes off on its own until the motor dies or I shut it down. I was told it is due to an air leak somewhere. I sealed everything but the head, and I am still having the same problem. If anybody out ther can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Try turning your idle down a bit. I know sometimes they idle a little higher once they are warmed up, but I adjust my idle at running temp. then I know it will always run and idle good once I start using it.

I tried the Idle adjustment but it still is donig the same thing. I talked to the guy I biught the truck from, and he figured it was my OWB. What do you think. Thanks.

It definitely sounds like an air leak. Have you checked the tank? Could be the cap seal leaking, could have a leak in one of the fuel lines or the tank itself.
