I have a RB TM523 in my tmaxx. It starts up and idles fine but as soon as you give it throttle it boggs down and dies. Sometimes you can ease in to it and get it rolling but still wants to die is you open it up. I have took the motor apart and cleaned everything along with the carb. I am lost as to what is causing this. any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like its really rich, what color is the glow plug when removed? Can you post a pic of it, is there alot of blue smoke

Is this the one in your aluminum T-Maxx that's been sitting for 4 1/2 years? Are you using fresh fuel? What about fuel lines? The lines can look fine but be gummed up and slow the fuel flow down just enough to make it not run.

yes it is that one...I soaked the engine and carb in fresh fuel and changed the fuel lines but that didnt help. I did get it to start taking tune but it died and when i inspected it it had a hole in the side of the crank case. here is the damage...

I've been there, it's extremely difficult to tune when you have a hole in the case. :D

This was a few tanks after breaking it in
