I am working on getting my friends mammoth running cuz he is about mechanically inclined as a hamster. Anyway his 24.7 is acting so wierd and i can't figure it out. When i first start it with the wheels off the ground, it will fire right up and sit at a nice idle. But if i go to give it any amount of gas it will just stall out like it is too Rich. So i leaned out the LSN about 1/8 of a turn. I fired it back up, and then instead of just idling it races to the max RPM, even with no throttle. If i try and slow it down with brake, it stalls. And every time after that when i start it, the engine just races. So either i can get it to idle, but stall with any gas. Or i can get it to rev to max rpm(wheels spinning and everything) but if i try and slow it down it will stall. I was thinking air leak, but who knows. Thanks for your help.

sup, go through and replace all fuel tubing, that is a major thing that can make ur problem. also i found with the XTM 24.7 that it doesn't like to run lean on the low speed. i think that mine was about 8 1/2 turns out or so on the low speed. when it is idling take and lean the hsn out a bit and see what it does.

with the engine warmed up & idling turn the lsnv clockwise till the rpm's seem to reach a peak & then wants to die, then counter clockwise the lsnv 1/4 turn. Mine did the same thing
