RC Driving Style
Hello I just bought an HPI RS4 EVO M3, last car I had was a reguler RS4 3. I am new to the 2 speed tranny and I think it needs to be adjusted. When I pull the trigger, it doesn't jump like my last car, my last car would hit crazy speed and I sold it to get this one thinking it was faster. When I pull the trigger it stalls, and then go's very very slow, and even then it does not hit good speed at all. I have properly broken it in, I was reading the manual and it sounds like I need to adjust the tranny. How do I do that, the manual doesn't really explain how to do it. If anyone knows to do this can you please post some detailed pictures and explain how you do it. Thanks in advance!! Also I was wondering if anyone has tried building a turbo for their nitro cars. I believe it can be done using a Computer Cooling Fan(small one). My neighbor put one on his Goped and it really does work, keeps the engine cool. He got a switch from autozone and using a 9 volt battery it works. I was wondering if that can be done on R/C cars, wiring it to the switch that powers on the servos.

first off i dont think the problem is your 2 speed tranny i sounds like your engine is too rich also you cannot build a turbo for a rc engine or atleast it hasnt been done yet

i have ot agree with hpiracer sounds like your way rich on your settings ,and if you find that your ok with your carb settings them it maybe lock into second gear thats why is it sluggish off the line ,but it honesty sounds like a very rich carb setting ,it isnt allowing it to get the speed it need ot kick'er into high gear ,
try running it and leaning the carb setting 1/12 in at a time till it is running better thne see if it works for ya
