need help picking body

ok here is the problem I'm at right now with my revo. i have a 2.5 with a side pipe I'm looking for somthing that can fit the pipe under the body. instead of cuting it away to make room. kinda like on the lst or warhead. anyone know of any other bodies that will have clearence on that side for one.
 
I put one on my gorillamaxx.

Score and snap or dremel is the only way to trim the body. .060 lexan is thick stuff and any lexan scissors just can't do it.
 
i posted up the same question awhile back, you may try some of the truggy bodys as well. i havent had the time or money to find one. what mill/pipe are you running? if you find one that fits the sidepipe lmk!
 
I'm running the duratrax header with a lst2 pipe. on a os 30 dam fast that body is friggen off the hook.
 
I'm running the 523 with an ofna pipe and header got a pic of your setup?

I'm getting the header in week or so just orderd it ill take a pic soon as i get it.

ok i was sick of waiting lol and i took my header off my warhead. so i could mount this on and get it all set up. still waiting for my tekno wing and replacement rear body mout.

I'm prolly gonna be getting a new body in month or so. gonna get the the proline crowd P 2.0 just gonna make little cut in the side so i can slide the body down past the pipe mount.

my pipe sits to high for the lsp body . bummer but no biggy.

ok i got my tekno wing wooot took 2 days to get my stuff still waiting for tower hobbies. here is a pic of my truck ready to run. with a crap body for now. sorry about the dark photo and crappy paint job it was my first one i ever did.

looks good to me, your gonna really like that side pipe over the rear, especially with the wing. my wing punished my rear pipe that came with the 523.

how did you mount the pipe hanger?

i used a ofna buggy mount, and a longer screw on the tekno throttle servo mount.

i need to redrill my pipe so i can point the stinger down...
 
btw nice clean install looks good.
all i did was take some 0-40 that comes with pipes and bent it in to shape. and drilled a hole in the side of the throttle box but a washer and nut with a bolt. i also board out the stinger so it was bigger

i went out a ran today omg this set up rips that trinity pipe a new one. dam. I'm so happy with the upgrades so far

all this talk about side pipes i'm starting to think about getting. it looks sweet and adds a ton of power. How does hold up for bashing and jumping? i get pretty rough with mine .
 
hmm i took a few jump today and took some nasty crashes held up great. i think as long as you tuck in in close to truck as you can its in that safe zone. unless you bash it on a rock or somthing .
 
i should really check that out , cause i am getting really in the need for a side pipe . maybe upgrade next year, casue then ther will be a track here for once, i got a friend that is building one near my place,it should be sweet.
 
ya right now I'm trying to to one upgrade project at a time. next is single servo. and tekno recver box with 250cc basher tank will be about 100 bill lol. this month was side pipe and wing then prolly get new wheelz and tires then next months some time ill get upgrade frame 3.3 so.
 
imo dont go with the 250cc tank, although its big and makes for looooong run times, the tank itself is poorly made. its thin and the cap has a tenancy to leak alot

i went with the mbx5-t tank, some people use the spyder tank. they both have more cc then stock and the mbx5-t tank is about the best built tank i have seen yet. very thick.

nicholas, if you go sidepipe hit me up, ill send you the part #s for the stuff i used. you have to have the tekno throttle mount though.

i have beat this setup a few times, broke two tie rods, a shock end, and stripped a wheel. the pipe hasnt moved yet..

nice, thanks beason, pass me the numbers right away i guesss , that way i will have them, cause i think i will eventualy get one if not this year it will be for sure after x mas.
 
killer thanks for in info man ill prolly just get both tanks see how the 250cc goes but when it takes a crap ill have the mbx just chillin :bow: I'm allso getting the tekno throttle mount . so gonna get the same truggy bar you got stronger then my temp fix.

parts i used but i posted a durtrax pipe but any pipe will fit it really. realy cheap pipe is only 22 and a good pipe and header gives you alot of room alltogeather its like 36 bucks or somthing with shipping. can't beat that. I'm just useing my losi slt2 race pipe. cuz i dont have duratrax one lol.
