RC Driving Style
I am thnkin about buying the Fhantom FR15 for my MT2... but here are four diffrent kinds... can anyone help me with the diffrence between and/or whitch one to buy...
slide/ non-pull
rotory/ non-pull
slide/pull
rotory/pull

The differences boil down to this.

Carb style (rotory or slide). Is your current engine a rotory or slide carb engine? Choose the Fantom engine that matches your current set up or expect to have to buy some extra linkage to accomodate the different carb.

Starter style (pull or bump--non-pull). If your ride can take a bump starter, then get the non-pull start style engine...but that would require a starter box or bump starter. If your current engine is a pull start engine, then stick with that.

The rest of the engine is pretty much the same between the four. Hopefully, this information helps.

Id get one with a pull that way you dont always have to carry around the starter box! And you can use the starter box one a pull antway.

well i am currently using a roto start... would that be basiccaly the same as a box... and how do i kno what stly carb i have??

If your carb rotates to open, it is a rotary carb. If your carb slides in and out to open, it is a slide carb.

The roto-start is not the same as a box as it requires a special back plate adapter, and I do not know of one for the Fantom engines.

so is there a dissadvantage for a pull starter.. cause arnt the starter boxes expensive

The pullstarts add more weight to the car. They make the motor a little slower because more restriction. You will never notice it though. I just bouht a ofna starter box, charger, and battery for $111.00.I like it way better than my old pullstart.I will never go back.

I already said what type of carb you need. The engine you need if you don't want to change the linkage is: FR15 Pullstart, rotary carb.

I've heard that the rotostart plate for the 15FE (you have the T-15, but I believe tha backplates are the sam) is a direct fit for the Fantom engines. So, get the pullstart version, take the pullstart assembly off, and bolt-up the rotostart backplate (if you don't want to use the pullstart)

You can go w/ a slide carb for better off the line response, but you will have to rig up a new linkage.
