Need advise......

OK Guys here is the deal i recently bought a t maxx pro 15 for 100 dollars engine is kinda on the way out... I am wondering what should be the next route for the old t maxx.. Should I upgrade the motor? which motor? rebuild it?
I am kinda leaning towards the 25r i already have up the upgrade kit for the 25 i have 150 total to spend... what would you do?

Your first mistake was even looking at a trx .15 ,the second was paying for it and the third was paying too much oh and its used ,lol,I payed 100 for a brand new 3.3 a while back and another 70$ you have a .26 picco,bring it back and get your money back or do the trx upgrade plan

$100.00 for a maxx truck no matter what model it is was worth a $100.00 in decent condition. I would upgrade to the 3.3 if I were you or go with the picco .26 maxx engine. I have and currently own several 2.5 engine when thet go I will upgrade to a better engine not that a 2.5 is bad or anything.

Correct it is the whole t maxx..
So i guess my questions is upgrade the motor or sell it on ebay and add some money on top of it and go with maybe a 2.5 or a 33 t maxx? I am kinda overwhelmed with my options........

Since you already have the truck, I would just upgrade. I would go 3.3 engine, axle carriers, axles, FOC in trans ETC... Get yourself a good cutaway aftermarket chassis to lighten it up. Go brushless emaxx Diffs. I have a TNT modded 2.5r #4910 maxx truck and it eats my buddies 3.3 maxx up.

What kind of price tag would i be looking at to upgrade it to 33 running gear and the 33 motor? Would i need the .33 transmission or just the forward only gear for mine?

Axle carriers $18.00, Axles $26.00, Toe links $10.00 to $12.00 3.3 diffs $30.00 I think the e maxx diff are like $45.00 or so, these are now Buy it now prices. You could prob do it cheaper. The #4910 trans is plenty tuff enough for the 3.3 with the FOC and they are like $10.00 on egay I know because I got like 3 kits unused, for backups. Your 2.5 diffs would hold up plenty good though. I would just tear down clean and re grease everything, and pack diff cups with bad horsie grease. You could also prob get a lightned chassis off egay for cheap to i bought mine for $7.00 with shipping. If you can find RCRaven chassis they are tuff as crap. The hardcore racing chassis are nice to if you watch you could get one priced right.

. I also just purchased a 3.3 motor, ez start, clutch and fly wheel and the install kit brand new from eBay. . I am on a budget so i would do the most important things first.
what order would u list stuff?

Did you do the trx trade in for the 3.3?..and most what you will need is in that parts bundle I have,when I get back home tomorow I will go through all of it and tell you exactly what else you will need if you Still want,off hand I think the only parts you will need to buy are new bearings and 2 axels,also will send you a chassis so you don't have to drill out the throttle post holes in your current chassis,......

No i did not do the trade in i am going to keep the 15 for a future project of some sort Let me know what you have exactly and what i will need to get . I know my last order(until i break it ) will be a header and muffler

Man if you need a chassis I have one that has the throttle post holes. If you pay shipping I can send it to you. If I were you though while you have it apart I would shop egay and find a lightned 2.5 chassis. Cut some weight off of the truck. The chassis I have is off a #4910 wide maxx truck.
