ok so I'm kind of new to this rc stuff and i just recently bought a T-maxx that is a 2.5 chassis but it has a 3.3 motor and resonator pipe and the chassis is aluminum but thats about it for aftermarket. But anyway, yesterday i was running it and i noticed it didnt have any power hardly. so i brought it in and 3 axles were twisted apart and the other was twisted but not broke. so I'm looking to get steel axles but i have no idea what brand or what length to use :\ and i also noticed that the stock spur gear is almost rounded off on one side and the metal clutch bell was very worn. I did flip it quite a bit and did some cart wheels but please help on what i should get to not have that happen again please reply!

I might take it into your local hobby store and see what they say about it. That is, if you have one. Otherwise, do a search for 3.3 shafts, which should handle that power. :)

Robinson Racing Slipper should be your first upgrade. It handles the power a lot better and allows you to set the slipper correctly. This keeps some of the load off of the shafts. Run 4908 rear centers both front and back with the 2.5 tranny. Then 4908 outer shafts, carriers and turn buckles. Revo-spec diffs next. This makes for a pretty stout drivetrain.

Traxxas makes center and all 4 corner CVDs (steel driveshafts), and MIP also makes them, theyre costly but are well worth it. Most hobby shops should carry one or another, pick up a set and go have fun!

Steel shafts break diffs easier. The plastic soaks up some shock. I'm certainly not telling you not to upgrade to metal; metal shafts are the strongest option. But with too tight a slipper, you'll break diffs or worse. Even revo-spec diffs. That's where the RRP slipper comes in. I wouldn't do one without the other.
