I dont know if this is the right place to ask this but i was wondering what street tires to get for my savage. I am not that concerned about the traction, I would actually prefer something that would allow me to do burnouts. I have a complete set of hpi Q6 rims and would like to use those for the tires that I will end up getting.

Thanks for the help

The Maxx Mashers would probably do you good, since you're wanting burn outs. They would hold up pretty good, and they also hook up decent.

Also, stiffen the foams by spraying them with hairspray, and wrap the inside of the tires with duct tape.

if u want donuts get some stock tmaxx tires...... they will allow u to do some mean donuts..

just get some slicks and try to go offroading w/ them.

but seriously get some cheap tmaxx tires. itll do more than the trick.

has anyone tried the proline road rage tires? I can't find any slicks on tower. Do you get wheel spin with these or the stock tmaxx tires?

stock tmaxx tires are ur best chioce for donuts.... onroad's grip pretty good on teh road....

how do the panther slicks handle?? you can get a set of 4 for $40??
what i want is not necessarily for donuts just something that burnouts when i go WOT from a dead stop.

I'm hoping that you know there isnt really a "burnout" with an R/C... It doesn't smoke the tires and lay rubber all the way down the road... You want burnouts? Save yourself some money and just spray some WD-40 on your kitchen floor and go at it!!! In the monster truck world, "burnouts" only really happen off road in the mud or on the grass, and with 4wd with the addition of the weight of the vehicle make it harder to do.

I've had the road rage tires.
They were great for what I needed them for.
They give a lot of traction on pavement so you might want to look into something else if you want burn outs.

I second the road rage tires. I have a set glued on offset proline rims, and the will get your truck out of the hole fast!!! It will cause the truck to stick to the road though, and the savage isn't known for it's low center of gravity if you know what I mean.
I would try something that has some give to it like the posts above.

i have a full set of 23mm proline cheyenne wheels on big joe tires for sale. pm me if interested.

if you want burnouts or doughnuts, wrap a few layers of duct tape around the outside of the tires and floor it. you will definately get some slippage there
