In my roto start should it spin freely count-clockwise or clockwise?

I am referring actually to the one way bearing before the roto start goes on, sorry.
 
it should engage clockwise and spin freely counter clockwise if you looking at the back of the motor
 
I could have sworn the rotostart shaft should be turning counterclockwise to start, clockwise to spin freely. It's been a while....

I am agreeing with you on this Bro as my MGT stock engine spins clockwise for the dual start to engage but spins freely counter clockwise. I knew that the Savage was the opposite of that. 99.9999999% sure
 
the roto does spin counter which in turn spins the one way (what he is asking about) clockwise to turn the motor over..
 
the roto doesn't spin the one way directly.. it spins the socket which spins the one way.. the roto spins counterclockwise.. and the one way spins clockwise.. the oneway spins freely counterclockwise
 
OK sorry I misread the question.

btw geardigger how did the backplate work out? Did you get her started yet?
 
:nuke: i learned the hard way which way it goes. i got the roto start with my savage but we have a nitro rush at my house too so we made a ghetto shaft starter with the original just un did the pull start string. we glued the bearing because it would always come out when we spun the roto start. when we tried to start it we noticed the wheels were going backwards. :opps: dont make this mistake. LOL. its all good tho we got it back to where the pull start worked. :nuke:
