Well, not sure how as I never adjusted the top screws but one of the screws was stripped and spun right out and when removing the rest, two of the other tapped hoels have been stripped and th eonly things holding the screws in were lots of aluminum dust. Anyone happy with any engine mount hop-ups?

If the mount isnt cracked, why not try getting longer motor mount screws, putting them thru the existing holes (screwing them all the way in if necessary) and then using nylock nuts on the ends, which will clamp the motor mount to the chassis?

THe used Savage I bought has a Hot Bodies motor mount. Its OK, I think it takes up too much room though, and I'm in the middle of changing back to stock to see if it pushes the motor further back (my sliding clutch wont fit with teh HB mount and Mach 26 engine, low profile clutchbell hits the spur).

Long since replaced. Just got another stock mount as it was the only thing available. I might try your tip if it goes on me again.

Oops!!!! My bad, I forgot I havent been here in a while and I was reviewing old threads.

Good luck for next time though. I'm considering using the nylock nuts even on a new stock mount, just to make sure it doesn't loosen up on me.
