I'm a noob and just picked up a used ntc3 from a friend. need advice on which starter box to get.

If you are feeling itch for some garage engineering coming upon you can make your own with an old electrice plane starter equipped with a rubber starting wheel. That was then bolted onto a piece of plywood and it had metal top with a hole in it for the rubber wheel to poke through. I saw a guy racing a few monthes ago with one he made like that. It looks a little ghetto but hey if it works it works.

If you are going to buy one i would get the OFNA multi starter box you can set it up for many different vehicles. I do not personaly own one but i hear good things about them.

The Ofna Multi Starter Box is a very nice unit. I used to own one and now I wish I never sold it.

the team associated box is almost identical to the ofna multibox. I originally wanted to get the AE box but they were out of stock. I ended up with the multibox and have used it for close to a year without a hitch. It has never failed to start any engine I have had, and is tough as nails. Sad to say, it recently went to a fellow member for some badly needed cash.

I got an ofna multi universal starter box and it works great. I use it for my rs4 mini, 4-tec, and ofna gtlx. Works great for all three rides. When I meet up with my buddies they all use my starter box too and it works for all of their rides.

Instead of getting the battery that ofna recommends, I put a small motorcycle battery in my starter box. It lasts me all weekend when its fully charged. But when it does get low, i just hook it up to my car and only takes about 20 min to charge fully and I'm good to go again.

It's got gobs of torque. More than enough to get your NTC3 started. It's also what I use on my NTC3.

I like that little magnet strip on the side to hold *STUFF*. I'm going to put a magnet on mine too.
