I plan on getting a RC10GT RTR Plus and I'm going to go ahead and buy an inline fuel filter. Are they all pretty much the same? Is one better than another? Flow charateristics? Thanks
:boxing:

the LHS sells them for like five bucks a piece (du-bro). I wouldn't buy the OFNA ones unless that's all they have because they are way expensive in the shops.

Get a stone filter, not mesh.

Agreed! Stone imo is the best way to go. I use the Dynamite big daddy filters, I really like them, great filters. They sell a replacement stone for them as well so you dont have to replace the entire filter.

Well I guess its actually a broze element as opposed to a stone in the big daddy, but still a great filter.

I had a dubro on my 1/8, now I have that and a Big Daddy!!

I use a great planes one. I had a extra one from my plane that I didnt use, so I've been using it. So far so good.

This is the same filter as i use (only mine is polished alloy not anodized)

Picture below as attachment

its a good filter and unrestricting on fuel flow. The body unscrews so that you can either clean or replace the filter and it only cost me £3.25 from my LHS. I suppose the ONLY drawback, lies in the fact that the filter is mesh. The flipside of that though, is a tiny bit less weight aboard your buggy. The weight is negligable, but when you want to keep under a certain weight, "every ounce counts".

this is the one I use http://www.dynamiterc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=DYN2006, It's a lot like the ofna filter. While they are more expensive that those cheap Dubro filters, you have to remember, "you get what you pay for". I would never trust my engine to one of those Dubro air plane filters, although I do have one between my tuned pipe and tank. The Dynamite filter is in the fuel line though. Fine mesh nylon filters work great but wire screen filters do not trap small dust partcles that can get in your tank. Stone or bronze filters are good also but they have to be replaced when they get clogged. Nylon can be cleaned and reused.
