i was out bashing and i broke my engine mount. I am looking to replace it with a much better and stronger one. anyone got some suggestions?

It IS stronger but, why are you replacing it. If I had to take a stab at it I would say that you landed upside down on the cooling head and stripped out the rear 2 holes on the mount. This is the most common problem I have come across with the Tmaxx.

Also a stripped spur gear is another effect of this happening. You can prevent both of these problems by getting a good roll bar. such as this one

I have not had a problem with spurs or motor mounts since I bought this roll bar. I went through about 5 stock mounts and about 4 traxxas Billet mounts before I broke down and bought it. If I would have gone this route in the begining I would have saved tons of money because those traxxas mounts at my LHS are $40 a piece. I have now run the same mount and spur for about 10 mos with no problems and its a stock mount and stock plastic spur

well it didnt strip the holes out, the 2 front holes actually split so there is metal missing from the mounts. And a full roll cage is next on my list because i dont like running body on

That was the same thing that happened to me the last time I broke one. Since I installed this cage it hasnt happened. And I am not too fond of the full cages. Its a lot more weight and on top of that your leaving your air filter, electronics and wiring open to be destroyed or damaged. What happens if the filter comes off and your upside down with no lid and the motor is running. I dont want to think about that

true, i guess ill start with the roll bar and see if i like it. i run the body but its been hot and i had to retune, the body makes that a PITA

Drill holes in the windshield to allow better air flow. Also in the rear window. This will allow more air to pass through the lid. I just dont trust not having any protection when on your back, LOL. I run my truck hard and I know it does spend time on its lid, especially when I am trying to pull backflips 10+ft in the air.

Also try cutting more of the bed out around the motor, it makes it a bit easier to tune with the lid on. Your LSN shouldnt ever really need adjustment once its set, so the HSN is really all you need access to and if you run a pull start trim some more, haha. I am still able to run my factory Tmaxx 3.3 lid for bashing even though I had to trim it. Its almost like the trimming allowed a little more flex instead of cracking or tearing. I have owned the truck for about 1 1/2 years now.

If you need pics I will snap some tonight.

if you could set some pics here that waould be awesome. i dont mind trimming. jeez i cannot spell after work :)

I have a 2" hole cut in front of the engine in the windshield and about half of the bed and back window area is cut out. It runs the same temp with and without the body. Reference for where to cut. Gimme about 10 minutes and I'll get some pics.

Sorry I took so long but here are the pics:
