Anyone out there using the new Native Racing starter box yet? If so, what is your review of it? I've thought about using a starter box (currently using a pull-start), but with the RD Racing starter box, I'd have to buy a gel cell battery that I'd prefer to not deal with. The NR box seems more appealing since I've already got the same base starter box that I use with my NTC3, so I wouldn't have to worry about batteries.

I already have other RDR products, so I trust their box to be very high quality, but as I said, I would prefer to not have to deal with the gel cell battery. I've read a lot of reviews about the RDR box, but I've only found one for the NR box. So with that said, I'm not really looking for a lot of reviews of the RDR box ... unless you are using something other than a gel cell battery to power it.

most of the revo guys here near me use the native racing box....but I think that's cause one of their team drivers is at mills pond usually....

Outlaw, just got my RD box and really haven't had much time to set the truck up and use it but will say it can be run without a gell cell. As a matter of fact I just hooked up two NiCd stick packs to it and it works fine so if that is your only draw back I wouldn't let that stop me. Besides you can find a gell cell for about $10. Anyway, once I get my truck completely back together and try everything, I will be doing a review of the RD box. The Native box is exactly what you described a modded AE box, I wasn't too much impressed with it for the price.
